In the future when teleportation exists, at 24:7 Innovation Center, students study on each of the 7 continents every day. The center forms a critical awareness capable of proposing alternatives to the cultural, social, and economic system in which we live. This school aims to create world leaders and innovators for a global community.
Inspired by the critique of hegemonic modernization and struggle to democratize hierarchies of administration by Italian architecture firm Superstudio, combined with the visual language of British sculptor Andy Goldsworthy's site-specific land art, the identity and system for this school stands as a criticism of both the White Anglo-Saxon Protestant University visual language of Ivy League's, and the negative factors of online education in contrast to tactile learning.
The recruitment campaign requires prospective students to travel to all 7 continents and photograph the poster representing each school in order to unlock the application. In an age saturated in the virtual, this is an example of how the center embeds forces of nature with firsthand experiences.
As a typographic representation of 'under water' and 'outer space' – the typeface that I created is a combination of 7 existing typefaces representing each continent. Download typeface here.
